Description
So, I’ve had this 2007 Citroen Xsara Picasso for a few years now – it’s a 1.6 diesel, 5-door MPV, and I’ve used it mostly for family trips and weekend drives. It’s not a flashy car, but it’s been reliable.Mileage is up to 148k, and the last MOT expired on August 1st 2025 – so I’m selling it now mostly as spares or for repair work. The previous MOT had a few little flags: offside steering play, a minor oil leak (not bad, just a small one), some corrosion on the offside sill (but still solid), and a slightly damaged front seat belt.
The only thing that’s been nagging me is the engine management light staying on – it’s been doing that for about four years now. I checked it properly and it’s actually a false warning from the EGR valve. The car has run perfectly fine all this time, no issues at all.
I’ve kept it well maintained and it’s just been easier to keep it in a garage now. If you’re looking for something solid, low-key, and mostly trouble-free, this might be worth a look. I’ll give you a bit of detail if you want to know more. I’m in Machynlleth, Powys.
