Ford Transit 2005 2402cc LWB High Top

Description

So, I’ve got this 2005 Ford Transit LWB High Top sitting in much-hadham, East Hertfordshire — it’s been a project van for years, and honestly, I just can’t keep up with the upkeep anymore. It’s not running right now, engine’s not working, and I don’t have the time or money to fix it properly.

It’s registered as a campervan (which makes insurance cheaper), so it’s not a proper working van, and I’m not expecting it to start anytime soon. But it’s got some solid bits that I’ve kept in place:

- Thetford flush toilet with 17L waste cassette (C223CS)
- Two 100W solar panels with Victron smart controller — you can actually track voltage and usage via Bluetooth on your phone
- Got a split relay charger wired in, but the leisure battery needs replacing (I’ve just not done it yet)
- Immobiliser and steering wheel lock — so it’s secure when parked
- Central locking, Bluetooth radio with AUX
- Dometic-Smev 9222 hob and sink combo (two gas hobs)
- 12v LED lighting throughout
- 2.7L Campingaz LPG bottle (easy to find across Europe) and a 5kg Calor LPG bottle (UK version)
- 25L black waste tank, 45L fresh water tank
- Two swivel captain seats, couch that pulls out into a double bed
- Two large wardrobes with hanging rails
- Indoor table, 12v coolbox
- A lot of storage — it’s not just a van, it’s a bit of a home
- Reflective thermal blinds on the front cab windows

I’ve kept a lot of the original features in, and it’s got a bit of character. I’ve not done an MOT, and it’s not in running condition — no point in trying to fix it right now.

If you’re looking for something with a bit of soul, not a daily driver, and just want to use it as a storage or weekend base, it might fit. I’m not expecting it to start or be fully functional — just thought I’d share it.
