I’m selling my 2009 Toyota Avensis T4 – it’s been well looked after and I’ve only ever driven it a few hundred miles since I last used it. It’s a solid diesel with that 2.2L engine, which gives it a smooth, quiet ride and pulls away nicely without much fuss. The fuel economy’s actually pretty good – I’ve managed about 51 miles per gallon on average, which means it’s not a big drain on the pocket. Also, it’s got low CO2 emissions, so it’s not bad for the planet either.

The car’s in a low insurance group, which makes it cheaper to insure than a lot of other used diesels. I’ve kept it clean and done regular servicing, so it’s not showing its age. The navigation system works fine, and the interior is still tidy – nothing too worn, just a few minor scratches here and there.

It’s currently parked in high-wycombe, Buckinghamshire, and I’ve only recently moved it there. I’ve kept it in the same spot for years, so it’s been a quiet, steady companion.
