Description

I’ve had this Behringer SL2442FX-PRO for a few years now, mostly as a backup for home gigs and small live setups. It’s been used a lot but nothing too harsh — still runs smooth and feels solid. I’ve got a good eye for gear, and this one’s one of those things that just keeps working even after years of being dragged around, plugged in, and turned up at different venues.

It’s a 24-channel mixer (16 mono, 4 stereo), which means you can handle a decent range of inputs — from mics to instruments, even some basic live mixing with EQ and aux sends. The mic preamps are quiet and clean, and the feedback detection system (FBQ) has saved me more than once when I was doing quick shows.

The thing I like most is how it handles live use: the 9-band EQ is actually pretty musical, and there’s a handy button to mute all mics at once — useful when you're playing a CD or tape during a break. Also, the power supply is great — it just works anywhere from 100 to 240 volts, no fuss, and doesn’t get too hot even when running on unstable power.

I’ve kept it well-maintained, cleaned it up, and stored it properly. It’s not perfect — there’s a bit of dust on the back panel, and one channel’s knob is slightly loose — but it’s still solid, and I’m not using it for studio-level recording.

I’m moving to north-yorkshire, England, and just wanted to part with it. It’s not a pro-level console, but it’s been reliable for everything from acoustic sets to small festivals. If you're into live sound or just want a reliable mixer for home use, it’s worth a look.

Price is £157.50 — I’ll keep it low since I’m not looking to sell it for a big profit. Just passing it on to someone who might actually use it.
