So, I’ve got this 2014 VW Up! – the little one, the one that fits in a tiny space but still gets you from A to B without a fuss. It’s a 1.0L petrol, manual, 5-door hatch, with just 77k miles on the clock. Still runs smooth, engine’s quiet, gearbox is solid – no issues at all. I’ve been using it every day for years, mostly around Tarbert in the Western Isles, and it’s survived that well.

It’s ULEZ compliant, so no worries about the new rules. I’ve had it serviced recently, MOT’s valid until April 2026, and I’ve got four good tyres on it. Fuel economy’s been spot on – I’ve seen up to 72 MPG, and road tax is just £20 a year, which is a real plus.

Inside, it’s got a DAB+ radio, aux-in, two speakers, and all the little extras you’d expect: sun visors (one for driver, one for passenger), head restraints, adjustable panel lighting, and a one-touch indicator. The seats have a seatbelt reminder, and it’s got ASR, TCS, ESP – all the safety bits.

The exterior’s a clean high-gloss black with body-coloured bumpers and black door handles. Halogen headlights with daytime running lights, tinted glass, and a beam regulator. I’ve kept it simple – no flashy bits, just what works.

I’ve gone through it all myself, and I’m happy with how it’s come together. Still, I’d always recommend you check it out before you decide – best to see it in person. It’s not flashy, but it’s reliable and practical.

It’s a bit of a local car now, but if you’re looking for something small, efficient, and easy to park – this one’s been a real workhorse for me in Tarbert. Price is £2,025 – I’m not asking much, just passing it on.
