Hey there – just putting this one out there because I’m not sure how many people actually look at these kinds of vehicles.

It’s a 2022 22 REG Mercedes A180 Sport Diesel Auto – the front, side, and rear have been hit, and it’s a cat-s salvage vehicle. It’s repairable, but like I said, it’s not in great shape.

I’ve seen a few of these on the market, and most of them are either sold with vague descriptions or just left on the shelf. So I figured I’d be honest about it – the info I’ve got might not be 100% accurate. If you’re thinking about buying it, I’d really recommend you come and see it in person.

I’ve got two guys I can call – Shaun and Dave – if you want to talk through it. Office hours are 9am to 4pm, and we’re based in Ballyclare, Antrim and Newtownabbey District.

We’re a small salvage lot, mostly dealing with cars that’ve been through insurance claims. A lot of what we have comes straight from insurers, so it’s not a personal vehicle – just a car that’s been damaged and needs a second chance.

If you’re serious about looking at it, bring your own mechanic or engineer. I don’t give warranties on anything – it’s all sold as seen. Once you take it off our site, that’s your responsibility.

The vehicle won’t be road legal until it’s fully repaired and passes all the checks. If it has a MOT, that doesn’t mean it’s safe to drive – it might have been damaged after the test. You’ll need a new MOT once it’s fixed.

I’ve seen some of these listed with pre-filled details on eBay or Gumtree, and those don’t always match the real situation. I’d suggest you check HPI yourself – some of these cars might have been in claims more than once.

We accept debit cards, bank transfers, and cash (with a 2% fee if you pay in cash). Deposits aren’t refundable, and if you don’t pick it up by the agreed date, we’ll just keep it and resell it.

No collection by car – I’d recommend a recovery truck. And yeah, no guarantees on anything – engine, interior bits, spare wheels, sat nav, charging plugs – all of that might not be there.

Just be realistic about what you’re getting here. It’s not a showroom car. It’s a salvage, and it’s been through a lot. But if you’re looking for a solid deal with a decent base, it might be worth a look.
