So I’ve been managing a little car hire lot down in Melrose, Scottish Borders, and I’m finally sharing it with people who actually want to use real cars, not just look at them online.

I’ve got a mix of electric and hybrid models — Tesla, BMW, Mercedes, MG, Hyundai, Toyota — all of them either on rent or rent-to-buy. I run it like a real private hire business, so you can pick up a car through Uber, Bolt, or Ola, or just grab one for a day, week, or even longer.

The fleet’s got everything from a Tesla Model 3 (long-range, 389 miles) and a Model S (393 miles) to a 7-seater Tesla Model X (315 miles), and I’ve got a few big MPVs too — a Mercedes EQV, a new Toyota Proace Verso (9-seater), and even a Maxus Mifa 9 with different trim levels.

There’s also a solid mix of plug-in hybrids: BMW 530e and 330e, Hyundai Ioniq, Kia Niro, MG HS, and even a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. All of these are good for city driving, no congestion charge, and ULEZ exempt.

One thing I really like is the EV assistance — you get up to £75 off your weekly cost for 40 weeks. That’s a real saving if you’re doing long-term use. And if you want to add airport jobs, I can pre-book those up to three days ahead — super handy if you’re getting around for work or travel.

I don’t do credit checks, so if you’re just starting out or don’t have a long history, you can get a car right away. I also offer full insurance, MOT, servicing, tyres, and road tax — all included.
