Got rid of this car because I bought a new one, but I’m keeping it in the shed for now just in case. It’s a 2014 Vauxhall Astra 1.6 SRI, 115bhp, manual, 5 doors — driven about 72,000 miles and still feels like it’s brand new. No knocks, no rattles, just a smooth, quiet ride. I’ve always kept it well maintained — regular services, all the bits replaced when needed, and it just about had a service yesterday (oil, filter, spark plugs). The tyres are almost brand new, and the rocker cover was done recently. It’s clean inside and out, no dents, just looks like it’s been loved. No warning lights, MOT passed 12 months ago, full V5 and two keys. Runs cheap, easy to insure, great for new drivers. I’m not selling it because I want to, just because I’ve moved on.
