2012 Honda CR-V 2.2 i-DTEC ES 5 Door
Description
So, I’ve been keeping this old CR-V for years — not because I needed it, but because it’s just one of those cars that feels right when you drive it. It’s a 2012 Honda CR-V with the 2.2 i-DTEC diesel engine, manual gearbox, and that classic ES trim. The body’s Sparkle Grey Pearlescent — still looks like it did when it first came off the lot, shiny as ever. The interior’s suede leather, which honestly hasn’t worn out a bit, and it’s all in great shape. Only one owner through the years, and it’s been properly maintained — every service marked in the book, all done at a Honda dealership.I’ve kept track of the service records: 15,325, then 17,661, 21,379, 28,905, 31,211, 35,904, 40,153, 44,466, 45,654, 47,257, 50,965, and 54,033 miles — and then a full service at 56,677 miles. That’s a lot of care, and the car’s been treated like a proper family car, not just a tool.
It’s got all the modern bits you’d expect: cruise control, digital clock, parking sensors, heated mirrors, power windows, a stereo with USB, front and rear speakers, and even a little extra storage — like the 60/40 fold-down rear seat and cargo shelf. The seats are heated, the dashboard lights are adjustable, there’s even a vanity mirror with a little light. The front seats are height-adjustable, and the steering wheel is tilt and telescopic — nice for long drives or just getting into it comfortably.
It’s not flashy, but it’s solid. I’ve driven it regularly over the years, mostly around the island — mostly on Colonsay, where I live now, B8087. The roads are a bit different, but it handles just fine. I’ve had it serviced and checked over properly, and it’s been through a full PDI. I’m not selling it just to get rid of it — I’m just moving on, and it’s time to find a new home.
It’s worth about £7,195 — not because I’m trying to sell it fast, but because it’s what it is. I’ve got a full HPI clearance, and I’m offering a 12-month warranty on it — not a fancy one, but I stand behind it.
If you’re someone who values reliability and knows what they’re looking for, this one might just be your kind of car. I’ve driven it every day for years, and it’s never let me down.
No fads, no hype — just a car that works, looks good, and has a real history.
