2017 Renault Captur 1.5 dCi Diesel SUV
Description
So, I’ve been keeping this car for a few years now — it’s a 2017 Renault Captur, diesel, 5-door SUV, manual gearbox. It’s not flashy, but it’s solid. I bought it new and have had it through eight services, last one at 78,000 miles — no major issues, just regular upkeep. The engine’s a 1.5L diesel, runs smoothly, and I’ve found it’s surprisingly efficient — around 78.5mpg combined. That’s a big plus if you’re on the road a lot.
It’s black, with 17-inch alloy wheels in an “Emotion” style — black inserts, which give it a bit of edge without being too aggressive. The roof’s painted mercury, so it looks a bit more premium when you’re driving.
Inside, it’s clean and well-maintained. The dashboard is dark harmony, and there’s a decent multimedia system — MediaNav — which is pretty easy to use. I use it for music and navigation, and it’s been reliable.
Some of the little things I appreciate: automatic headlights, wipers that sense rain, cruise control with a speed limiter — useful on long drives. The seats are comfy, especially the front, and there’s a 60-40 split in the back, so it’s easy to fit a couple of kids or gear.
It’s got all the safety bits — ABS with EBA, ESP, airbags, hill start assist, and a remote key with push-button start. I’ve had the spare key too, so it’s not a problem if I’m away.
I’ve had a few little touches — like heated air, pollen filter, and storage space in the glovebox, between seats, and near the handbrake. The boot floor is split-level, which helps with storage.
I’ve kept it well, and it’s never been driven hard. I live in Penmaenmawr, Conwy now, so it’s just been sitting there — not on the road much.
The price is £6,291 — I know it’s a bit high for some, but it’s a reliable, well-maintained diesel SUV with a good mix of tech and practicality.
If you’re looking for something that’s not too flashy but actually works well, and you don’t mind a bit of a drive on the open road, this one’s been a solid companion.
If you’re interested, I can share more or set up a time to meet up — just give me a ring. No pressure, just honest talk about what you’re looking for.
I’ll keep it on the road, and if you’re thinking of buying a used SUV that doesn’t skimp on features or comfort, this one’s worth a look.
