Description

So, I’ve been keeping this 2019 Hyundai Tucson for a while now — it’s actually one of the few SUVs I’ve owned that hasn’t taken a backseat to the family car. It’s got just 13,906 miles on it, which for a vehicle of this age is pretty solid. I did a full history check, and it’s been well looked after — there’s a record of a service done in March 2025 at around 11,658 miles, so it’s been properly maintained.

It’s a petrol DCT, Euro 6 compliant, 1.6-litre engine, and the SE Nav trim means it’s got all the basics: a decent cabin, good tech, and a smooth ride. The silver rear skid plate is a nice touch, and there’s Drive Mode Select — useful if you’re driving on the hills or just want a bit more control. Rear parking sensors and a rear camera make parking a breeze, especially when you’ve got a kid in the back.

I’ve got dual zone climate control, automatic headlights with dusk sensor, and a 17-inch alloy wheel set. The 8-inch touchscreen has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus traffic messaging via Mapcare — that’s a real plus when you’re on a long drive. There’s also cruise control with speed limiter, a 12V outlet, and even a glove box with cooling.

I’ve used it regularly over the past few years — it’s been reliable, easy to drive, and not too much to maintain. The 0-60 in 8.9 seconds isn’t flashy, but it’s responsive enough for daily use. And the insurance group is low, which means it’s not going to break the bank on running costs.

It’s been in the same family for a few years, and I know it’s been used by more than one driver — I can’t say exactly how many, but it’s been passed around fairly responsibly.

I’m based in Egerton, Cheshire East, and if you’re interested, I can either pick it up from there or arrange delivery across the UK. I’ve got a £99 reserve option — it’s fully refundable if you don’t end up buying it.

I’m not selling it because I need the cash — I’m just getting rid of it after a few years of reliable service. It’s been a solid companion through a lot of changes, and I’ve been happy with how it’s held up.

If you’re thinking about something practical, feature-rich, and not too flashy — this one might fit.

Essex Car Company runs the sales side — it’s a family-run business with over 20 staff, and most of the team have been there for years. I’ve seen them handle a lot of customers, and they’ve got a good track record. I’ve actually seen their TV show on Channel 4 — it was a real insight into how a dealership actually runs.

I’d be happy to chat more if you’re interested — just give me a ring.

P.S. It’s not a super flashy car, but it’s been dependable, low-maintenance, and has plenty of useful features without going overboard. If you’re after something that just works — this one does.
