2021 Audi A1 35 TFSI Black Edition 5-door Hatchback
Description
So, I’ve been keeping this car for a few years now — not because I needed it, but because I just love how it drives. It’s a 2021 Audi A1 35 TFSI Black Edition, five-door hatchback, and honestly, it’s one of those cars that feels both sharp and calm at the same time. The engine’s a 1.5-litre turbo, gives you 150PS and 250Nm of torque — not flashy, but enough to get you moving without feeling like you’re fighting the gears. It hits 0 to 62 in about 7.7 seconds, which isn’t a record, but it’s smooth and responsive, especially on the twisty bits near Walton-on-the-Naze. The S Tronic automatic handles gear changes quietly, so you don’t get that jolt you sometimes get with older autos.
The Black Edition trim gives it a bit of edge — 18-inch gloss black alloy wheels, black roof, and privacy glass. Looks sharp when you pull up to the local pub or just driving down the road. Inside, it’s got that clean, modern feel — 10.25-inch instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. I use that all the time. The steering wheel is leather, flat-bottomed, and the pedals are stainless steel — gives it a bit of a sporty vibe without being too aggressive.
Safety stuff is solid too: Audi Pre-Sense with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane departure warning, cruise control, and rear sensors. I’ve never had a scare on the road, and that’s partly thanks to that.
It’s not the fastest car in the world, but it’s got a great balance of practicality, tech, and handling. I’ve driven it in all sorts of weather — winter, summer, rain — and it handles the roads around here pretty well.
I’m selling it because I’m moving into a bigger place and I just want to make room. It’s been well looked after, all service records are in order, and it’s HPI clear. I’ve had it for about five years, mostly personal use, with a bit of weekend trips and local commutes.
The price is £15,565.50 — I know that’s a bit high for some, but it’s been a solid investment. I’m not selling it to anyone in a rush, just looking to move on and keep the car in a good spot.
If you're in the area and thinking about a compact hatch with a bit of class and a good driving feel, this one might be worth a look. Let me know if you want to see it — I’m happy to show it around.
(Just a quick note: I used to live in Ashton-under-Lyne, but now I’m based in Walton-on-the-Naze, Tendring — so if you’re local, that makes things easier.)
