So, I’ve got a single room available now in a ground floor flat in Hessle, East Riding of Yorkshire — no traffic, quiet, and just a peaceful little spot. The flat was renovated about 6 years ago, and it’s been freshly painted, so it feels fresh and tidy. The owners are a couple in their early 30s, long-term, and really nice — they’re happy to share a bit about the place, but no drama.

The room itself is newly refitted: wardrobes with two drawers, a 4-drawer chest, three drawers, bedside table, mirrors, laundry basket, floor lamp, table lamp, and a TV with Freeview and DVD player. The bed has a single mattress, a duvet, pillows, and a mattress protector — plus storage under the bed (tapestry not on the wall, as pictured). There’s a thermostat that controls the underfloor heating just in your room, so it’s warm and comfy.

It’s a single occupancy only, so no sharing. I’ve got a cat — clean, calm, and likes her own space. If you’re around, just keep the door closed unless you’re in the room with her. Smoking is allowed outside only.

The bathroom is shared (bath and shower), and the kitchen is fully equipped with utilities — so you don’t need to worry about gas or electricity. I’ve got a fridge, kitchen cupboards, and a bathroom cupboard — all set up.
