Description

So, I’ve been trimming down my keyboard collection lately—just trying to keep things manageable. This Orla KX1000 is one of the smaller ones, single manual with 72 keys, and it’s actually quite light—about 50lbs, which means one person can easily move it around. I’ve got a Hammond at home, and it’s a beast—400 lbs and takes up half the room. This one’s a lot more practical, and still has that classic Hammond-style draw bar response, but without the bulk.

The amp is actually pretty useful—can plug in guitars or other instruments if you want to experiment. It has MIDI in/out, line in and out, and loads of voices. I’ve tried a few of them, and honestly, quite a few are solid.

I don’t use the rhythm or programmed keys though—been working with ADHD, so I don’t tend to get into the fancy features. Just enjoy playing melodies and doing some simple arrangements.

The music stand has those optional extensions too, so you can adjust the distance to your sheet music depending on what you’re reading.

It’s currently sitting in my shed at corrour, The Road to the Isles—just a quiet spot, not much going on there, so it’s been sitting out of the way for a while. If you're into organs or just looking for something compact and playable, I’ve had it for years and it’s been mostly sitting in the background—now it’s time for a new home.
