Jaguar X-Type Estate 2005 Manual 2.0 Diesel
Description
So I’ve got this 2005 Jaguar X-Type estate, 2.0 diesel, manual — it’s been MOT'd until June 2026 and has a full logbook. I bought it just a few months ago and it’s been sitting in Brierfield, Borough of Pendle, not far from where I live.It starts and runs fine, which is good — I’ve used it a bit, but not much, so it hasn’t been far. The bodywork has a few small marks, but honestly, for its age it’s not bad at all.
There’s one thing I’ve noticed though — sometimes it’ll go into limp mode, especially when I’m driving on the road. I’ve found that turning the key off and on again usually fixes it. It doesn’t do it all the time, and sometimes it just doesn’t happen at all. I’ve been told it might be the pulley on the AC pump, and I’ve got a replacement one I’ve been saving for — haven’t had time to swap it in yet.
The tick-over sound from the pulley is a bit loud, but I know it’s probably just the AC pump pulley — not a big deal.
I’m not selling it because it’s not really practical for me to keep using it — I’ve got a newer car now. I’d actually be happy to swap it for something like a 750 or just trade it in. If you’re interested or have any questions, just shoot me a message. No pressure, just thought I’d share it.
