2016 SeaDoo GTI 155 Jet Ski Needs New Engine

So I’ve got this 2016 SeaDoo GTI 155 sitting in Llandrindod-wells, Powys — mostly because I’ve been moving around and it’s easier to keep it here now.

It’s on 80 hours, which is pretty low for the age, and it’s been stored away from shore, always anchored — so the hull’s almost spotless, no drag marks, no scrapes. The bodywork is in great shape, hardly any wear at all. I’ve kept it pretty simple — no flashy mods, just clean, solid use.

The problem? Last time I tried to take it out, it just cut out and wouldn’t start again. When I try to turn it over, it makes a clunk — like it’s not turning at all. I’ve tested it a few times and it just doesn’t crank properly. So I’m pretty sure it needs a full engine rebuild or a new one. I don’t have the time or the money to fix it right now.

Still, it’s in amazing condition otherwise — original manual, all the invoices, three keys (two unrestricted, one learner), and the original fire extinguisher still in the storage. The plastics and cubbies are all intact, no cracks or damage. It’s got the upgraded Solace impeller, which gives it a bit of a boost — runs around 65mph and’s quite fuel-efficient. Also has adjustable trim, cruise control, eco/sport modes — all works fine.

The trailer’s been fully repainted black, and I’ve replaced both wheels with new Kenda tyres. I’ve also swapped out both hubs — bearings are pre-installed, so they’re brand new with caps and nuts. The lights were fixed when I bought it, but there’s a short somewhere — they don’t work now. I just use a regular trailer board instead.
