2008 Volvo V50 Estate manual
Description
Honestly, I’ve had this car for years and it’s still one of my go-to drives. It’s a 2008 V50 Estate, 1.8L petrol, 1798cc, five doors — manual gearbox, so it’s got a bit of character and a solid feel. The engine’s been properly looked after — fresh oil, filter, rocker covers, manifold gaskets and plugs, all done recently. It starts up every day without a hitch, and the transmission is buttery smooth, which is a real plus.I’ve actually driven it up to Ben Nevis and back — no issues at all. It’s been used daily, so mileage is probably higher than factory specs, but it’s still reliable and handles well. The interior’s full of storage, good storage, and the floating centre console makes it easy to keep things tidy.
The only thing? The rear right body panel near the wheel has a small ding from years ago — not a big deal, doesn’t affect anything, and I’m not overly bothered by it. The exterior could use a bit of TLC, but it’s otherwise in solid shape.
It’s got a full remote key, day-running lights, and all the features you’d expect from a high-spec version. MOT’s valid till July 2026, and I’ve had a fresh oil and lubricant service (brakes and gearbox) — all of which are on the records.
I’m not looking for hangers-on or people who just want to make a quick offer — if you’re serious about checking it out, give me a reasonable notice and come by. It’s not a show car, just a solid, practical vehicle I’ve used for work and long trips alike.
Currently based in castle-cary, Somerset — just a quick drive from the A30, so it’s easy to get to. The price is £1,071 — I’ll talk about that if you’re interested, but I don’t want to jump through hoops to sell it. Just want to share it with someone who actually uses cars.
